Karnofsky Scale
Developed
by Karnofsky, Abelmann,
Craver & Burchenal, 1948
The Karnofsky Scale has been adapted for use in many areas, including hospices, cancer clinics, etc., as well as used by various CFS researchers and physicians (Leonard Jason, PhD; Jay A. Goldstein, MD). The 10-point scale is a quick and easy way to indicate how you are feeling on a given day, without going through several multiple choice questions or symptom surveys. If you would like to print the scale for your own use, you can download the PDF version.
To record functional capacity (ability to do the activities of daily living [ADL]), please see the ADL Worksheet forms. |
