Can't find a herp vet?

If you can't find a vet in your area in these listings and resources, contact the following to see if they know of any in your area:

Your own dog/cat vet.

University/Colleges/Junior Colleges: departments of veterinary medicine, animal health science, veterinary technician.

County Agricultural Extension Department

Zoos: Zoo vet; curator of Reptiles, Vertebrates.

Department of Animal Regulation

Humane Society, SPCA, or other animal shelters

Local wildlife rehabilitation/bird rescue facilities. Check with the humane society/department of animal regulation/police department for the names and numbers of such organizations if you don't know of any or can't find them listed in the phone book.

Herp societies in adjacent states.

Online Herp Forums and Email Lists. Some have listings of such organizations, or folders where organizations and individuals can post.
